Formosa – 5th Feb 1869

The Formosa was an iron steamer (rigged as a three-masted schooner at this time) that was wrecked at Portsea on her maiden voyage from Glasgow.

The remains of the wreck are occasionally visible when the weather exposes it near London Bridge at Portsea.
